Mission Statement and History

Located opposite the Har Habayit, Yeshivat Hakotel was founded in the aftermath of the Six Day War, in order to bring high- level Torah learning back to the newly-liberated Old City of Yerushalayim.  Learning in this special place helps Talmidim connect deeply with Hashem as well as our people's history and future.

Today, Yeshivat Hakotel's program includes hundreds of talmidim- both Israelis in the Hesder program who combine Talmud Torah with IDF service alongside a robust program for Overseas Students.

Overseas Students live and learn alongside Israeli talmidim and also benefit from shiurim in English given by English speaking rebbeim as well as guidance, trips and special programs that make the year in Israel especially meaningful.

The student body of Hakotel consists of dedicated Yeshiva High School graduates who focus on Torah study and personal spiritual growth.  Intensive Gemara learning is complimented by a broad curriculum of shiurim in Tanach, Machshava, Mussar, and Halacha.

Most importantly, students at Hakotel benefit from the personal touch of a dedicated staff, who get to know each Talmid personally, and help each forge his unique path in Avodat Hashem.
